When I started all of this getting healthy business, and trying to start running it was something I really didn’t think I would stick to, so I just kept it all to myself, and used the shoes I had on hand. I used my Skechers Go Walk shoes most of the time. But as I started running more and I was sticking to it, I knew I needed running shoes. So I contacted my friends at Skechers to see if they would be interested in partnering with me on this.
I already know the quality of their products is something I love, and that their styles are cute too!
Skechers is a brand I have loved for a long time. I have purchased a few pairs before I ever started blogging, and I remember how thrilled I was the first time they ever wanted to work with me.
Of course, Skechers said yes, and they let me pick any pair from their Skechers Performance Division. I chose the Women’s Skechers GOrun Ultra in Charcoal/Turquoise.

As soon as I received them, I ran right upstairs and pulled them out. The first thing my 6yo said to me is: Mommy! Those are made just for you! They have an S on them, for Shari! WOW that’s so cool! I like that they were made just for you! LOL Yup that’s right….Skechers labelled them with an S just for me, it has nothing to do with the company name! LOL
That day I received an arm band that I was going to try out too, so I put them both on, and got ready for my run! I made hubby take a pic:
These shoes have a thick cushiony soul! They feel like pillows on my feet when I put them in. But they also feel very supportive. As I run, I don’t feel a lot of jarring impact, and but my arches on my feet don’t hurt after.
With my other shoes that I used I would find my feet, back and legs would ache after; not from tight muscles, just from the jarring and act of running. Now I feel my legs after but it’s just the tight muscles.
I have a love/hate relationship with the shoe laces LOL To be honest, they only untied once in my runs, so they aren’t that bad. I love them because I have a very skinny foot, and I find if shoes aren’t lace up, I can’t get them thin enough and they flop around on my foot a bit. Which is fine normally, but when running it doesn’t give you a sure footing, and can rub on your foot and hurt. I have very sensitive skin so I get blisters easily in weird spots from some shoes flopping around and rubbing on my skin. So I love that I can make these fit my feet.
They are a lot lighter than any of my other shoes, and it really does help a lot. I have found that I recover faster during the walking periods, even though my running periods are longer.
I also love that they come in a lot of different colours, and styles. So you can look cute, while still having awesome running shoes! Over all I am very happy with these shoes, and highly recommend them.
If you are going to be doing any running, the proper shoes, really do make all the difference!
So….to help you with your running, you can enter to win a pair of the Skechers GoRun Performance shoes like I received. Please note: That colors may vary depending on availability.
