I am a firm believer in making our boys help out around the house, and completing tasks as needed. There are 5 people in this house, and we all need to pull together to get the job done! Some jobs they can do super easily but we have a central vac and carrying the house with the stick/suction part can be very heavy for them. We have been wanting to get a smaller vacuum for a while that is light and able to handle smaller jobs. The big one is great for doing the whole house, but after eating they usually leave a big mess so we want something they can grab and clean under the table with.
When I was asked if I would like to review the Cordless Lithium 2-IN-1 Floor Extension Stick Vacuum, I thought this might be the solution we were looking for, and saving me from having to do all the researching and comparison shopping we usually do!
Now that my boys are in school during the days I like to test things when they aren’t home if possible, and then I can let them just have it, or use it after I know how it works. That means pulling out things when hubby isn’t home and having to figure out how to put them together. If it’s not fast and easy, hubby ends up getting a pile of parts in his garage with the box, and guide. I am cable of putting together more complicated things, but I don’t have the patience these days. I got a limited time to do it, so I just go bah forget it, and move on. The Cordless Lithium 2-IN-1 Floor Extension Stick Vacuum was together in about 2 minutes, and then I had to charge it for 4 hours the first time. But it was ready for when the boys got home!
The boys and I used the vacuum and found it very strong to pick up all the cereal and chunks that were on the floor. I liked that it swiveled around the furniture very easily. When we have to go under our table, and around the chairs it can be a big pain, but this made it super easy and quick!!!
I needed one boy to do the stairs, normally we would have to take apart our central vac, find the attachment and drag the house. When I pulled off the handheld vac with the press of a button, I heard 3 gasps, followed by “This vacuum is awesome!!” “It’s so cool and mechanical” LOL I think that’s a compliment.
I sent the 10 yo to do the stairs, and after I asked him what he thought he said:
It worked great. Yeah, I liked it. I would use it again.
He is not given to being overly excitable ha! So that’s high praise.
I have 3 different types of floors in our house, and we switch from tile to hardwood back and forth, so it can be a bit of a pain adjusting vacuums to the right type for the floor. This vacuum has an auto suction adjustment for your different types of flooring. It makes it easy, and means you don’t have to bend down to change any settings while you vacuum. The battery lasts quite a while and should be able to do your whole house on one charge! No tripping over a cord, or hose!
Over all, we are really happy with this vacuum. It is powerful enough to get up all the bits that the boys drop, and it’s light enough with enough maneuverability for the boys to actually use quite easily.
